About the company:

My client is a global telecoms operator specialising in messaging connectivity, based on its market leading carrier-grade platforms. 

Description:

This role reports to the Head of Wholesale Messaging and will work closely with the wider sales organisation.  This is primarily a new business sales role so you will need to be able to identify and close new customers, create attractive commercial models and pricing structures. 

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in the telco or IT sales sector, with experience in selling messaging interworking solutions. You will need to be creative and fast-thinking to match the pace of this sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop a consistent pipeline of potential new customers
  • Prepare and close all new sales contracts as well as up-selling and cross-selling other messaging solutions to the existing customer base.
  • Prepare and deliver presentation pitches, commercial quotes and contracts for submission to clients are at the highest professional standards.
  • Monthly and Quarterly forecasts and deviation reports to the management team
  • Works closely with the Product Development & Marketing teams to ensure the Messaging Services product lines are at the optimum competitive level with market competitors.
  • Acquire market intelligence, industry updates and product knowledge on competiting connectivity products and services (A2P, P2P, HLR, M2M, Hubs, IP etc) and feedback to marketing teams

Candidate Requirements:

  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Able to produce high-quality work under pressure in a demanding environment with multiple responsibilities.
  • Able to create a strong relationship with customers and understand their demands.
  • Broad knowledge and familiarity of the MS Office package.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
  • Team player.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
