Description:

As (Senior) Software Engineer you will be part of a strong and dynamic team aiming to deliver the richest web based experience of a new era. You will develop and deliver first-class client side web applications working in agile development processes. You will be a key element of a team building multi platform location service applications using the latest web 2.0 technologies.

Candidate Requirements:

We are seeking a highly motivated and successful Software Engineer who is passionate about front-end development.

Specific requirements include:

• Masters or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar field
• Hands-on experience with web development and object oriented software engineering
• Experience in web browser related languages and techniques including XHTML, CSS, AJAX, JSON, XML, JavaScript / EcmaScript and various Javascript (e.g. JQuery, Prototype, Dojo, YUI)
• Stong knowledge of core JavaScript and implementation of OO-principles in JavaScript
• Excellent track record of previous work, including pixel-perfect web 2.0 related projects
• Good understanding of browser limitations and platform specific differences and quirks
• Knowledge of SOAP / REST based web services 
• A strong command of written and spoken English is essential
• The strongest candidates will also be willing to learn about new technologies (e.g. HTML 5 and CSS 3), have experience with version control systems e.g. SVN and some hands-on experience with server-side programming languages e.g. Java, Python, Ruby as well as being great team players.

Special conditions:

This role will be based in Germany therefore you must be prepared to relocate to Germany if you are not already based locally. A relocation package and relocation assistance will be made available to the successful candidate should this be required.
