Our client is a world leading organisation creating cutting edge technology and transforming the way people interact with and discover the world around them. We are now looking for an experienced User Interaction Designer to help create and drive the company's vision for the web.

Description:

As User Interaction Designer WEB you will be part of a dynamic and evolving business exploring and defining a new generation of social location services. You will help define interaction flows and behaviours and the information architecture across different device interfaces. Drawing on your vast experience in this domain you will gain buy-in from stakeholders and drive the vision forwards. As part of an interdisciplinary design and development team you will specify, develop, test, verify and constantly improve your designs, creating the guidelines for the next generation platform for social location services.  Your focus will be on desktop/web based products and services.

Candidate Requirements:

We are seeking a highly motivated User Interaction Designer who can draw upon up to date usability principles and cutting edge interaction behaviours to inspire their work. Extensive experience designing for web/desktop interfaces is essential.

Specific requirements include:

• You are able to precisely articulate, reason, document, communicate and present your design ideas in written and spoken English
• You develop interaction paradigms for different devices and use cases and illustrate them with high-level flow charts and prototypes
• Experience of working to user-centred design principles
• You are analytical and can work with data (user / business) to define your solutions
• Extensive hands-on experience designing for web/desktop interfaces.
• Fluent in InDesign and Illustrator, Photoshop. Ideally you also have experience with Visio and OmniGraffle
• Fluent in (basic) HTML or Flash
• You are able to efficiently structure and communicate your work with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• In addition to the above you have a minimum of 4 years experience in UI design and a degree in a relevant field for example Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction or Informatics
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential

Special conditions:

This role will be based in Germany therefore you must be prepared to relocate to Germany if you are not already based locally. A relocation package and relocation assistance will be made available to the successful candidate should this be required
