Our client is a world leading organisation creating cutting edge technology and transforming the way people interact with and discover the world around them. We are now looking for a highly inspired and experienced Interaction Designer to join their growing international team in Germany.

Description:

As a key player within a new and exciting service team you will work on and define a service experience which reaches far into everyday life. Designing for a technical environment you will introduce your designs to other designers and developers, verify, challenge and improve them and be part of creating the most important key elements for the next generation of location services. 

About you:

• You are a highly experienced and creative Interaction Designer
• You have a strong background in the definition of interaction flows and behaviours as well as the development of information architecture across different device interfaces
• Up to date knowledge of usability principles and cutting edge interaction behaviours
• The ability to efficiently document and communicate the essentials of your design work
• Experience of developing interaction paradigms for different devices and use cases and illustrate them with high level flow charts as well as detailed and structured wireframe specifications
• Previous experience in designing for mobile touch and non-touch screens as well as for desktop interfaces
• Fluent in InDesign and Illustrator. Ideally you also have experience of OmniGraffle, Visio, Photoshop and Flash

Ideal candidates will also:

• Know how to build click dummies of your designs in Flash
• Have basic knowledge about CSS, HTML and JavaScript
• Make the most out of the latest mobile UI paradigms (e.g. touch)
• Work with web standards / web 2.0 / rich web apps

Specific Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years experience in UI design
• A degree in a relevant field (e.g. interaction design, Human computer interaction etc)
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Innovative, open-minded and adaptable team player with a positive outlook. Can-do delivery-oriented mindset. Adept at working under pressure and taking the initiative.
• You must be able to provide a portfolio of your design work and you are keen to develop and grow as a designer

Special conditions:

The team is based in Germany therefore if you are not already living/working in Germany you must be prepared to relocate- our client is able to offer a relocation should the successful candidate be based outside Germany.
