My client. is a global supplier of end-to-end wireless solutions for wireless communications networks. They design, manufacture and market antennas, boosters, combiners, filters, repeaters, multi-carrier RF power amplifiers, tower-mounted amplifiers and advanced coverage solutions, all for use in cellular, PCS and 3G networks throughout the world. 

Description: 

  • 3 Project Managers reporting into 1 overall Programme Manager
  • Senior level capability directing global wireless solutions projects from sales tender to project closeout. 
  • Provides project planning and leadership on individual projects and/or portions of projects implementing Distributed Antenna Systems, Multi-Carrier Power Amplifiers, Tower Mounted Amplifiers, Antennas, and other products..
  • Manages internal staff and/or subcontractors for portions of an overall project.
  • Manage project deliverables, project schedules and ensures functional requirements are met.
  • Identifies required resources and defines team, roles and responsibilities of project team members.
  • Reallocates resources, modify schedules and reassign tasks as necessary to meet project goals.
  • Advise my client’s executives on matters pertaining to the assigned projects.
  • Establishes and cultivates strong internal relationships at all levels with focus at the senior levels of supply chain management, operations, PLM engineering, sales, and research & development.
  • Develop internal relationships and external vendor relationships as necessary.
  • Ability to accomplish on time results without direct authority over resources through effective influential skills.
  • Establishes effective customer relationships.

 Duties and responsibilities: 
  • Creates project plans and drives cross-functional teams to complete projects within required timelines.
  • Consistently delivers projects, programs and initiatives within defined scope and on time.
  • Drives end-to-end project development and delivery efforts.
  • Collaborates and assesses needs through all phases of assigned projects.
  • Maintains financial budgets for projects and keeps projects under budget.
  • Holds product/project meetings with project teams.
  • Communicates project status, including accrued revenues to all appropriate parties on a regular basis.
  • Deploys standard processes, tools and methodologies needed to effectively manage multiple projects and programs.
  • Understands staff technical competencies and help build employee skill sets based on business requirements.
  • Effectively forecasts and tracks project revenues in compliance to SOX regulations.
  • Clearly documents all aspects of the projects managed
 Note: Additional duties and responsibilities may be added as required. Candidate Requirements: Education Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business Management, or other related technical degree, MBA a plus.  Experience 
  • 10-15 years of experience in project management managing complex projects or a combination of construction/installation team leadership experience with technical project experience involving DAS, MCPA, and TMA implementation.  Knowledge of the wireless telecommunications industry is a must. Also need to have experience of GSM-R (ideally), wireless for rail (almost certainly), and base-station roll-outs (absolutely essential)

  • Verbal and written communication skills that clearly convey complex technical information and ideas to senior level management. Ability to effectively communicate processes, procedures and expectations to project teams and cross-functionally.
  • Ability to use and navigate Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Visio software programs, to a level of professional proficiency.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve technical problems of a complex nature quickly and independently.
  • Ability to create meaningful presentations and present complex material to senior level management.
  • Ability to provide leadership to resolve highly complex problems and issues.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of employees in the organization and demonstrate solid relationship building skills.
  • Expertise with project management methodologies and project management software programs such as MS Project, and project management tracking systems, Excel and IDE Web.
  • Strong communicator and presenter with the ability to present projects effectively to project teams and to customers.
  • Proven ability to run simultaneous, continuous, Enterprise-Wide projects of moderate complexity and scope.
  • Track record of driving numerous concurrent projects to completion that meet predefined schedule and scope requirements.
  • Ability to bring consensus and be able to guide a diverse group of employees on varying sized programs and projects.
