This particular division within the organisation is a multidisciplinary group of engineers developing leading edge communications technologies and products. They undertake a diverse range of exciting and challenging programs for international blue-chip companies.

Duties and responsibilities:

Radio design, from low frequencies up to 2.5GHz

Working on a diverse range of projects

Design for cost critical high volume manufacture as well as specialist systems where cost is not critical

Taking products into full manufacture

Systems level design, creating a detailed product specification from a basic market concept

Candidate Requirements:

Hardware Design Engineer with a 1st or a 2.1 degree in Engineering

In-depth experience in product development, preferably in communications systems

Embedded hardware development of systems using a range of microcontrollers, including ARM based processors

Switch mode power supply design for battery operated systems

Experienced in low power design

Analogue electronics design expertise
