Description:
The Global Account Manager (GAM) functions as my client’s Sales and Technical lead accountable for the overall revenue growth and customer satisfaction for an OEM account with revenues of between $10 million and $100 million. The GAM is predominately responsible for developing and executing effective and customer-relevant sales strategy to develop incremental revenue opportunities while retaining base business for specific assigned Global OEM accounts.
Duties and responsibilities:
The GAM establishes and cultivates strong pro-Powerwave relationships at all levels throughout the account by offering value-added, insightful and strategic input to their business, with focusing at the senior levels of supply chain management, operations, PLM and research & development. This is the lead role for directing and overseeing both business and operational activity within the Global OEM account.
Essential Duties include:
- All business development activity and meeting all quarterly revenue goals.
- Development of account strategies by generating detailed tactical and strategic account plans (3 mos., 6 mos., and 12 mos.).
- Implementation of such plans in accordance with agreed to milestones and objectives.
- Responsible for maintenance of a comprehensive Global Account profile including:
- All areas influencing existing business build plans, pricing proposals, development of forecasts, and order fulfillment administrative issues.
- All areas of business opportunities for Powerwave’s current product capabilities, relative to current Product Technology Roadmaps.
- The Accounts tactical and strategic business development activity, such as market penetration achievements and plans, etc.
- Account organizational activity, such as changes, adds, departures within the Account Organization.
- Monitors the plans, activity and achievement of Powerwave’s competitors.
- Advise Powerwave Executive Management on all matters pertaining to the Account.

Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business Management, or other related technical degree, MBA a plus.
Experience
- Bachelor of Arts or Science in Business or Marketing.
- 10+ years of sales experience with large global accounts.
- Proven ability in sales and business development in the telecommunications industry; Strong account planning and management skills.
- In depth knowledge of the telecommunications industry and of the OEMs in the telecommunications industry.
- Ability to work independently.
