They have divisions catering for testing at component, box, and system-level, with equipment in most of the world’s leading R&D labs, and also divisions catering for wireless test, network optimisation tools, and serviced network management

Description:

The candidate for the China Sales leader role will be responsible for developing and managing my client’s Network Management and Test & Optimization sales.  He will be the Regional Senior most leadership role for the business for the foreseeable future and representative for Voice of Customer and Market trends.

The countries of focus are China and Taiwan. 

The position will have initially 2 direct report selling roles (account managers) and a number of dotted line reports (business consultant) located in the region.   The channels used to reach the targeted audience of Tier 1 Telecom Operators will be Direct Sales and Channel Sales.  The targeted and intended audiences for sales cultivation of my client’s NM strategic message of “Network and Service Intelligence” are responsible for Network and Service Operations:  CTO, VP and Director levels of Network Operations, Network Engineering.

The candidate will report to the Vice President of APAC Sales.

Target accounts: CMCC, China Unicom, China Unitel, plus the main Taiwanese operators

Candidate Requirements:

 

  • Candidates must come from a test & measurement and/or network optimization background
  • Must have good experience of direct and channel sales – ie must have had quota-carrying responsibilities.
  • Must have experience in the execution of the entire sales process from initial “cold” call through to closing the business.
  • Fluent Mandarin and English, Cantonese a bonus.
  • Must have an excellent record of selling into at least 2 of China’s major network operators
  • Man-management experience preferred.
