Team Lead / Manager Quality Engineering Europe

This is a unique opportunity to work in an excellent environment with a super exciting and challenging role in the software quality engineering field at one of the most interesting companies on the internet.

The individual will lead a team of test engineers based in Switzerland and other European locations and will be responsible for the successful and top quality rollout of features on the site across Europe. This is a role that is part management of a team and part actual involvement in testing (i.e. test case definition, execution, test automation etc.). So you get the best of both worlds.

Oh yes, some travel is required, especially across Europe. They are usually daytrips but nevertheless you will be on the plane every once in a while. As well you will have the opportunity to travel to sunny California about twice a year for 1-2 weeks. On the other hand work life balance is very important to us so we also make a great effort to accomodate people's personal lives and make the business travel as enjoyable as possible.

Job Responsibilities:

• People management of a team of 3-5 test engineers
• Resource planning for European Quality Engineering team
• Delivery of software projects for European sites
• Close collaboration with development and test engineering teams in San Jose, California
• Lead testing activities for high impact features to be rolled out on any of the European sites
• Design and implementation of test automation code (we use Selenium)

Desired Skills & Experience

We are looking for the right candidate - that said we don't care about years of experience. Nevertheless in order to be good at your new job, we would like you to have the following skills and background:

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent desirable
• Relevant experience in managing small teams in an international and distributed environment
• Relevant work experience in test engineering
• Mandatory: Java, JS, CSS, HTML
• Nice to have: TestNG, Selenium, C#, Obj-c, System Administrator skills Linux, Windows, Mac, Virtualization
• Outstanding communication skills and team player
• Working experience in a distributed environment
• Innovator
• Fluency in English mandatory
• Other European language skills desired.
