My client is a global leader in advanced communication technologies and they have for many years been at the forefront of innovation within the field.

Job Description:

To develop and execute the Business Units long range product plans across the voice and music market areas within the consumer space, specifically in areas of new product creation, new product introduction and product management, including P&L responsibility.

To build and lead a world-class marketing team. The marketing VP maintains close relationships with the entire customer base, including tier1s and keep customers updated and involved in the product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities;

• Maintain or extend Company market share in the voice and music space
• Ownership of the software and hardware product roadmaps
• Creation of new products, timely execution and successfully launch of new products
• Global responsibility for marketing in the voice and music Business
• Overall responsibility for defining the marketing product roadmap
• Ensure the roadmap is competitive, innovative, differentiated, challenging but achievable
• Build wider consensus in the organisation around the roadmap
• Operate with a long term strategic view on Company’s position within the industry and steer product/technology development to maximise our competitive advantage
• Lead the marketing team handling promotion of their voice and music products including defining the global promotion strategy, generation of world class presentations, datasheets, demos and other collateral, training the sales teams with respect to product knowledge, regional on-site customer visits, press releases and press conferences
• Manage major customer price negotiation and set pricing strategy (in conjunction with SVP)
• Manages global teams consisting of Product Marketing Managers, setting short and long term (multi year) policies and strategies
• Support & deputise the SVP with leadership, contributes to the long term investment plan
• Represent the business unit at key corporate meetings including Leadership, Strategic Chip Planning & Project Review Board
• Create and maintain an organisation and environment, where staff are highly motivated, productive and can perform to their full potential
• Develops internal/regional office/customer relationships, understands customer needs and qualifies customers roadmaps
• Builds close relationships with customers to ensure repeat projects and provides feedback to the business to help define future products and roadmaps
• Develop strategies with Sales to help win new customers/projects
• Analytical interpretation of industry trends and market data to influence new developments and methodologies to generate new business
• Managing the Development of new concepts and demonstrations for marketing purposes
• Manage flow of information to and from customers, distributors, field apps and sales
• Drive BU specific marcomms: Press releases, websites, interviews
• Promotion of new products, features and developments with customers, sales and distributors
• Manage and lead the Marketing team
